STRESZCZENIE
Dieta ketogenna jest skuteczna w leczeniu epilepsji, zarówno u dzieci jak i dorosłych. Zwiększa skuteczność terapii farmakologicznej i może być stosowana w innych jednostkach chorobowych takich jak: otyłość, cukrzyca, psychoza maniakalno depresyjna, choroby neurodegeneracyjne, u pacjentów z wrodzonymi wadami związanymi ze szlakami glikolitycznymi. Dieta ketogenna jest bezpieczna i tania.

ABSTRACT
Ketogenic Diet is effective in the treatment of epilepsy in both children and adults. KD increases the effectiveness of conventional therapies and can be applied for the treatment of other diseases. Simultaneously, KD is cheaper and does not possess as many adverse effects as conventional medicine.
