Oznaczanie alternariotoksyn w wybranych surowcach i przetworach owocowo-warzywnych
[Determination of alternaria-mycotoxin in some raw and processed fruit and vegetable products]

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was the assessment of Alternaria-mycotoxins contamination in some raw and processed plant products. The analytical method for detection o f altemariol (AOH) and alternariol methyl ether (AME) is described. After extraction and puryfication o f sample crude extracts by column chromatography on silica gel, the qualitative and quantitative analyses were carried out by two-dimensional TLC. There were 110 samples analyzed - 44 (included 32 moulded) raw plant samples and 56 processed plant products. Levels of altemaria-mycotoxins found in fruits and tomatoes visibly rotten ranged between 3 do 420 /Jg/kg for AOH and 10 to 100 /ig/kg for AME. Trace amounts of AOH were detected in 3 samples of processed products.
